Salobreña Town Hall has decided to sort out parts of Avenida García Lorca where the roots from the yucca trees are damaging the pavements.
There are three plant beds on this main thoroughfare that have this problem; something that locals have complained about a lot, hence this work now being carried out.
We have elections in around four weeks, after all, remember!
The Councillor for Parks & Gardens, Gabriel Alonso, said that the yucca trees will be eliminated and any other ones causing problems with their roots.
Finally, the councillor said that they will be installing new street furniture, as well.
