Anybody approaching the Town Hall in Salobreña will have seen that workmen are busy looking busy on the square outside.
You might be wondering what they are actually up to but rumours of a 30-metre high statue of the Mayor can be discarded. No, these diligent gentlemen are “eliminating defects” or in other words mending or replacing whatever has been broken.
Starting with the steps leading up to the town-hall building and eliminated some flowerbeds that were creating damp problems, as well as the low walls.
Lastly, all the benches will be replaced. So now you know!
