Salobreña Auditorium Reopens

SAL Bernada PremiereThe Salobreña Auditorium will reopen its doors this weekend, after being closed during most of October for renovations.

This closure has meant that the cultural agenda was put on hold until now, with the first cultural event on Friday the 9th with a performance of the Beauty and the Beast for children, staged by the theatre company En La Luna.

But the main event this weekend is the screening of the film entitled, Bernarda (an adaption of a Federico García Lorca play), which was filmed in part in the old sugar factory in La Caleta, as well as on the beach and several other locations around Salobreña.

Entrance is free until the house is full on both days of the screening (Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th) but you will still have to obtain a ticket, although free of charge, two hours before the showing.

Other cultural events during this month include concerts, book presentations and a brass-band parade to celebrate Santa Cecilia (Patron Saint of Art), amongst others. Oh, and don’t miss the guitar concert in 1616 Books on the 22nd
