The Policía Nacional are looking for a man who had allegedly beaten a 2-year-old with a baseball bat in Sevilla.

The man also reportedly hit the mother with it, before locking them up  in a room for several days.

It was the grandfather of the child who alerted the police after not having heard anything from his daughter and her child for a while. When he went round to their house, a relative of the aggressor told him that they were away.

The police called upon the fire service to force to front door. Inside they found both of them huddled in a lock room, both with several bruises.

The child was taken to the Hospital Virgen del Rocío where he remains under observation after his injuries were treated.
