Well, summer’s over, bar the shouting, so it’s back to normal rubbish-collection times in Almuñécar, explained the Town Hall.
The concept behind the summer timetable for rubbish collection is to have all the rubbish cleared in the town centre before nine in the evening, which is when most people take to the streets for an evening stroll.
Shops, etc, had to put their rubbish out between 16.00h and 18.00h but now with autumn upon us, both the commercial centre of town and the normal residential areas don’t have to put their rubbish out until between 20.00h and 23.00h.
Oh, but anybody who still has their rubbish bin out on the street, empty or otherwise, after 08.00h the next morning will be fined.
