José Montalvo tells us that the Sunday afternoon open-mike sessions are recommencing from tomorrow in the habitual venue of Bar La Pelillera on Los Bajos.

This form of live-music entertainment runs all winter and is highly popular because it gives both the bar-goers and musicians a chance to have some fun.

These sessions start at approximately 18.00h. Bear in mind that being musicians, punctuality is a myth. Actually, it’s a Catch-22 situation: bar bands don’t start until the bar fills up and the people aren’t going to turn up until the music has already started.

José, in case you didn’t know, is a very talented musician, sound engineer, recording engineer and is the bod behind organising these impromptu music sessions, providing the PA system (mikes, mixing desk & amps).
