Body of Missing Man Found

SAL GREA 112 mobile HQThe body of the missing man from Ítrabo was found in the vicinity of Cerro Jurite, not far from where he was seen for the last time.

The search had started yesterday morning at 07.00h, combing the Cerro Jurite and La Guindalera areas but by 09.30h the body of 83-year-old Antonio Villa had been found.

During the six days that the search had lasted, tracker dogs, four drones, and on the last day, at least 30 people, including the Guardia Civil, Grupo de Emergencias de Andalucía (GREA), Protección Civil, personnel from the Almuñécar fire service and many volunteers.

Although this was later confirmed by the Guardia Civil and published in several media platforms, Bob Watson, who was among the search party that found him, gave us the first news of the find yesterday morning via facebook.
