The Motril-based Policía Nacional arrested a 39-year-old Almuñécar man, on suspicion of distributing and selling cocaine.
The suspect was also distributing to four outlets in Motril, which is where the Policía Nacional had caught wind of this set up.
Besides being charged with possession and peddling cocaine, he was also charged with resisting arrest, dangerous driving and driving without a valid licence.
These secondary charges came about because he was arrested at the wheel of a car with over a kilo of cocaine in the interior of the vehicle. He didn’t pull over at first and a car chase followed, and then continued on foot.
He was brought before a magistrate who ordered him to be remanded in custody until trial.
