A 33-year-old man from Píñar was arrested on charges of theft and animal cruelty and then there’s the little affair of 106 cannabis plants in his house…
But let’s take this one thing at a time. The owner of a goat pen in Fonelas went to the police with some CCTV footage of the accused ‘liberating’ two goats two months ago after climbing over the roof (tejado).
Once inside, he chose two kids, tied their legs together and threw them onto the roof, but each time, they either didn’t make it up onto the tiles, or slid back down. Three time the kids made the return journey, falling back onto the ground, and as they had their legs tied, they had no way of softening the landing.
Finally, he decided to open the door from the inside and simply walk out carrying the two, badly injured, animals to a waiting car and his two accomplices, aged 33 and 35.
Thanks to the CCTV footage, the police were able to identify the man and his accomplices. When they went around to his house to arrest him, they found an indoor plantation of 106 cannabis plants and an illegal hook-up to an electricity supply
