A RIB (Zodiac dingy) carrying 51 illegal immigrants was intercepted in the Mar de Alborán area to the South of Motril.

The craft was adrift when it was located around 02.10h yesterday with 43 men and eight women on board.

The immigrants were brought into Motril port aboard a coastguard launch and attended to first by the Cruz Roja for medical check ups and then processed by the Policia Nacional.
