The Partido Popular in Salobreña considers the idea of moving the medical centre down to the TH1 is “illogical and incongruent.”
The party leader, Gustavo Aybar, said that this move, which would put the medical centre next to the Parque de la Fuente, would place it in a tourism area.
He also claimed that the owner of the land empty building plot behind where the centre is currently located is willing to carry out a swap, whereby he would cede the plot to the Town Hall and would be willing to wait until the Town Hall could come up with a plot for him.
This plot behind the building has space for a larger building which could include underground parking, pointed out, Sr. Aybar.
He concluded by pointing out that the medical centre is right next to the other administrative buildings, as well as banks, the post office and supermarkets, which will not be the case if it is moved to the said new location and that the majority of the centre’s users are the elderly.
