The Almuñécar Councillor for the Environment, Luis Aragón explained that the town is getting 14 new recycling bins.
These containers will be placed in new areas, explained the councillor, and that despite the fact that Almuñécar doesn’t have a Punto Limpio the town has made a good deal of progress in covering the recycling needs of its streets and urbanizaciones.
A Punto Limpio is a municipally owned rubbish collection point where residents can take their solid rubbish as opposed to domestic refuse.
Finally he explained that on Sunday the 31st, rubbish will collected between 14.00h and 18.00h therefore residents are asked not to put it out at the normal time in the evening. This collection arrangement was also in force last night.
