Rubbish Collection Reminder

ALM Old Furniture CollectionsThe Almuñécar Councillor for the Environment and the municipal street-cleaning company, FCC, are miffed that people are dumping furniture without giving notice of it.

The Thursday-night rubbish collection service that carts away your old fridges, furniture and mother-in-laws do this for free but in exchange you should inform them that where you have put out the said rubbish.

In other words, they down tour the town looking for such discarded objects, but go to the places that they have been informed about. So if you drag out an old table in some obscure corner of the town, it will miss being collected.

The number to ring is 958 838 600 between 09.00h and 14.00h – it’s a town-hall number so there is nobody there in the afternoons or weekends.

So, the system works: you phone them saying what and where you will be putting something out on Thursday night and they come around early Friday morning and cart it away

Now, if you live in La Herradura the number is 958 640 425 between 09.00h and 14.00h. The day that you put your stuff out is Monday night to be collected Tuesday morning.

Note: armed or ungagged mother-in-laws will not be accepted.
