A 16-year-old lad in Granada is being investigated by the Minors Magistrate for allegedly assaulting another boy of the same age with a taser gun. Two other people were involved in the attack, one of whom is an adult.
These none-lethal weapons are restricted to the use of the security forces and cost between 500 and 2,000 euros each. Although they are ‘none-leathal, to date they have provoked 500 deaths in the world.
The incident occurred at a high school with the province when the accused fired upon the victim at the gates of the school, leaving him stunned and unable to move. The accused then taking avantage of the victim’s inability to defend himself set about kicking him on the ground.
As a result of the assault the said teenager is suffering from depression and has not returned to school even though the aggressor is an ex-student there; i.e. was not a pupil at the time of the attack.
