Do you ever wonder whether to give the unofficial parking attendant a tip or not; you know, the one with an unsettling smile and cleans his nails with a flick knife?

Well, read this article and perhaps revise you game plan. The Policía Nacional arrested one of these gentlemen for stabbing a driver several times when he refused to tip him. Fortunately, this happened on the Canary Islands, far from your parking needs.

Not surprisingly, the 48-year-old parking attendant has a criminal record that Moses would have struggled with had it been chiselled out on tablets.

This happened on the 4th of November shortly before a call from the wife of the punctured driver. She explained how moments after parking the man had approached and asked for money to look after their car.

The driver explained that he had no intention, much less obligation, to give the ‘gorilla,’ as they are known in Spanish, any of his hard-earned shekels.

A loud argument ensued that covered the horizontal profession of somebody’s mother, the driver’s sexual preferences, the attendant’s sadly absent motivation to obtain honest employment and shortly after an invitation to self-fornicate in splendid isolation, the driver found that he had three nostrils and could pick his teeth without opening his mouth.

However it was the stab wound to the chest that had him hospitalised in the ICU.

The aggressor, by the way, decided that the parking area could manage without his supervision and disappeared, only to be captured the following Sunday – fleeing has its drawbacks on an island, after all.
