Itrabo, Aliens & Monsters

SAL Lovecraft WorldÍtrabo is going to become weird this weekend, big time, because it will be holding a Lovecraft World festival, thanks to the collaboration of the Provincial Council.

And, no, Lovecraft World has nothing to do with sex education, porn or magical love spells, because it’s an event where players in an imaginary world of aliens and monsters have to solve problems.

Lovecraft World, of course, came about thanks to the American author, H.P. Lovecraft, who gained posthumous fame and is now considered as one of the most significant 20th-century authors in his genre: horror fiction.

Meanwhile, back in Ítrabo this weekend, it is hoped that 200 enthusiasts of all ages will be participating, so don’t be alarmed if you come across a 3-headed monster whilst driving through the village late at night.

Things kick off at 23.00h on Saturday the 21st, when the gist of the game will be explained. The game will last six hours, involving ‘strategic places, trials and enigmas.’

If you’re going to participate – you mad, impetuous fool – you’ll need to turn up a few hours before it starts to collect the game map, bracelets and a green identification cloth.

And entry will cost you 20 euros which you can acquire at the town hall today or online via Entradium and Ticketmaster.
