The Ronda Poniente in Motril reopened today after the tarmacking work concluded, with the laying down of the white lines etc. done yesterday night.

This main artery of the town between Calle Camino de Minasierra, right up to the roundabout at the top of the town received good dose of tar, thus eliminating those pesky potholes, bumps and other imperfections.

The relevant councillor, Gloria Chica, said that she had received requests from the residents of the Barrio del Pilar for zebra crossings to be put in place in front of the Colegio Mariana Pineda, as well as lighting on the Calle Marquesa de Esquilache junction.

The councillor promised that both of these suggestion would be carried out.
