You have until 14.00h on Thursday the 28th, if you want to participate in the Almuñécar cross-country race, XXIX Prueba de Fondo Almuñécar Costa Tropical.

The race will take place this Sunday, the 1st of October, so those interested should contact the organisers via www.gpfdipgra.es. If you do put your name forward, there is a 10-euro inscription fee.

The race has been organised with the collaboration of the Federación Andaluza de Atletismo and is sponsored by Heineken España Cruzcampo, Coca Cola and the two provincial dailies.

But it doesn’t stop there because it also has the backing of Atletismo Sexitano, Multideporte Sexitano, el Club MTB Ciudad de Almuñécar, A.D. Almuñécar 77 and Club Balonmano Almuñécar.

Runners will leave from the municipal sports stadium at 10.00h and will take in the town centre, as well as the Caminos de la Vega; i.e, 14 kilometres of tarmacked streets, roads and lanes.
