Working on from last year’s success, the II Regata Costa Tropical with count on the collaboration of coastal towns from La Herradura to Albuñol.

Last year’s event had 160 participants in 40 different sailboats.

And besides the coastal town halls throwing their weight behind it, The Junta de Andalucia, the Provincial Council, the Mancomunidad and the Motril Port Authorities, as well as the Club Náutico and the Escuela de Vela are also involved in the organization and promotion of the event.

To help push the event, there was a presentation in Melilla (Spanish North Africa) at the Real Club Náutico de Melilla with the hope of getting as many sailboats from there to participate.

The event will be held on between the 20th and the 23rd of July and will have several legs over the said days, from Albuñol to La Herradura.
