End of Season Choir Concert

Anne LogoWith summer almost upon us, you may feel that the only chance to avoid the relentless heat is by hiding away indoors, locked far away from the madding crowd.

Well, there’s a more enjoyable alternative that will keep you cool and pleasantly entertained whilst enjoying the local talent.

Our very own Coro Ciudad de Almuñécar (formerly known as the Choir of Musicales Juventudes de Almuñécar) is holding its end of season concert on Friday 9th June from 9pm in the Main Church in Almuñécar, La Iglesia de la Encarnación.

We will be joined by the children’s choir, Los Arcos with their director, Pedro Hernández, under the auspices of our own director Pablo Guerrero and accompanied by the brilliant pianist Paloma Guerrero.

As is normally the case with our concerts, we will showcase a number of pieces from all over the world, in different languages, to reflect the diversity of the choir and of course, of our dedicated public.

This concert should have particularly wide appeal as we explore the different frontiers (sometimes real, often imaginary) that exist in music.

The perspective will vary according to chronological, geographical and socio-demographic influences, with distinct generations of musicians, including the overriding structure that prevails in performance, from that fascinating relationship between performer and audience.

Sound a bit high-brow? No! Just come and enjoy the music and the atmosphere. As always, the Choir aims to surprise and delight, challenging the imagination and the senses, while keeping our repertoire fresh! Please bear in mind that part of the proceeds of any donations made will be passed to charity.
