You might have heard of the 7-year-old child in Almuñécar who needs a bone-marrow transplant – social media has been alive with it. Moved? Here’s how you can donate.
Now, those interested will be pleased to know that on the 13th of March a special mobile unit will be in Almuñécar so that volunteers can make a donation, and then on successive days, the unit will be on other points along the Costa Tropical.
The mobile unit, which will be operating from 10.00h to 14.00h and 17.00h to 21.00h, is also the blood-donation unit; i.e., the Centro de Transfusiones Sanguíneas. It will be parked where the old IDEA white-goods shop was; i.e., at the back end of the Carbonell building.
As for the rest of the coast, the mobile unit will be in Motril on the 24th of this month in the Centro Cívico La Matraquilla in Motril from 10.00h to 14.00h and 17.00h to 21.00h.
It will be in Salobreña on the 13th of March next to the Town Hall, operating only in the afternoons from 17.00h to 21.00h.
For more information about when and where the mobile unit will be, you can visit: www.transfusion.granada-almeria.org.
Editorial note: The information that we have been given is that the unit will be in Almuñécar and Salobreña on the same day, which seems unlikely. We can be sure that it will be in Almuñécar on the 13th of March, so it is the Salobreña date that is in doubt.
