Franciso I on Calle Real in Almuñécar is one of the three most historically emblematic bars/mesons in town, but things are set to expand for them. Read on!
If you are wondering what the other two are, one no longer exists, El Choco, and the other is Los Pajaritos, but this is about Francisco I, which under its namesake first opened its doors in the 1950’s.
The present owner of Fransciso I, Enrique Donaire, who has retained everything that people loved about the meson, will be opening Francisco Kelibia… in Plaza Kelibia , of course, early next year, which will be followed by other establishments around the same area.
Francisco Keliba will be doing breakfasts; full English breakfasts, too, among other morning/midday offerings. The bar, run by Paul Cajiao, will also provide full TV sports coverage. But that’s enough info on that as we will be including much more complete info on the new establishment in the February edition.
When you do get you hands on the January Seaside Gazette, you will see that Francisco I has sponsored the back-page 2017 calendar, by the way!.
