Anybody who has been down to Salobreña beach will have found one of the lanes closed when returning along the Avenida del Mediterráneo.

As the road has two lanes in each direction, one of the return ones being closed owing to roadworks is not really a problem. What’s more they are using the centre island to reroute the traffic.

The roadwork is opposite Parque La Fuente and is part of the TH1 infrastructure work; i.e., connecting up water mains, etc, to the main, underground infrastructure connecting the town to the beach area; i.e., Paseo Marítimo and the beach urbanizaciones.
