Two jockeys were injured when their horses collided during a race on the Zarzuelo Racecourse in Madrid on Sunday the 17th.
The jockeys, 25-year-old Nieves García and 39-year-old Alvaro Gómez, both fell from their mounts as a result of the collision and were trampled by the horses following behind.
Both remain hospitalized awaiting examination results to rule out internal injuries.
