The competition, now in its second year, is organized by the Almuñécar Town Hall and aims at promoting the tourist attractions that the village has to offer: its landscapes, cuisine, historic monuments, etc.
The top photographs of the competitors, as well as some by Nino Rodríguez Barbero, are on display in the Centro Cívico.
The mother of the late Nino Rodriguéz, accompanied the First Councillor, Juan José Ruiz and the 1st-Prize winner, were present during the presentation of the collective works of the competitors.
During the act the First Councillor reminded those present that Nino Rodríguez, besides being a keen local photographer, also ran a social-network site entitled, Mi Pequeño Paraíso.
Esmeralda Ruiz Guillén entered around 15 photographic works for the competition, covering quaint corners of the village, as well as “unique moments.”
A total of 60 photographs are presently on display in the Civic Centre, at least until the end of August.
