Work began today in Las Palomas, La Herradura on repairing the road surface; eliminating potholes and tarmacking, from the entrance to Calle Serrano.

From there they will work their way up to the main road.

The First Counicillor for La Herradura, Sr. Ruiz Joya, explained that a local company is carrying out the work: Juan José Martín Novo, adding “We calculate that in a few days the work will be completed.”

He also pointed out that this is the first summer with improved access from the main road, thanks to the new junction.

Editorial comment: Wonderful that they’re sorting out the potholes, etc… but why now, right in the middle of population-bloated summer? Could it be that somebody is trying to impress the summer residents down from Granada and Madrid?
