The Almuñécar Guardia Civil happened across a splendid plantation of 331 marijuana plants in a cortijo in Almuñécar.
The owner, upon seeing the gleeful, green meanies approaching fled on a motorbike, but to little avail as he was soon tracked down and arrested, bless him.
His troubles didn’t end there because he didn’t have a bike licence for his baleful bike. To make matters worse, he had tapped into a nearby electricity supply for his plantation’s energy needs, so he’s also facing charges for that, as well as driving without a licence and growing illegal flora.
But the Guardia were on a roll – Christmas comes early – because he also had a small calibre rifle… and no firearms licence. Bingo!
But before you start feeling sorry for the multiple-misdeed-beset gentleman, the reason that he didn’t have a gun licence was because he is banned from owning a firearm ever since he was arrested on a previous occasion on a charge of domestic violence – bit of a cad.
So there you have it, no bike licence, no gun licence, 331 wobble-weeds and no friend of Endesa to boot.
