After the clean up of the rocks around Playa Tesorillo in Almuñécar, volunteers will start on those around Peñón Punta de la Mona (Soguilla).

The reason why these rocks need cleaning up is because some anglers don’t seem adverse to littering the area, although of course, not all the litter belongs to them alone and not all anglers leave litter.

Organized by the Environment Dept of the Almuñécar Town Hall, in coordination with their opposite numbers in the Junta, the initiative depends heavily on volunteers from the local fishing clubs: Ciudad de Almuñécar and Club de Pesca Costa Tropical.

Other volunteers come from the Asociación Amigos del Mar will join them on Sunday the 19th of June from 10.00h.

Lastly, some of these rocks have very difficult access, which is precisely why they are so popular with the angling fraternity.
