A 42-year-old man has been arrested for forcing his boss to pay him his outstanding wages at gun point. The incident occurred on the first Thursday of the month in the town of Barakaldo in the Basque Lands.

It appears the disgruntled – and armed – employee worked in a restaurant and the owner of the establishment had been putting off paying the man his hours worked.

On the said day the restaurant owner was by himself on the premises when the accused entered with the firearm, and ‘convinced’ his boss to pay him there and then from the money in the cash register.
