Yes, it’s that time of year again, with the XI Festival Aéreo de Motril set to take place on the 26th of June down on Playa Granada, so make sure you don’t miss it!

This year the 50,000 expected spectators will get a chance to see the Spanish military helicoper-dispay team Patrulla Aspa and, for the first time in an Andalucía event, C-16 Eurofighter Typhoon!

Making a repeat appearance, as well, the French aerobatic team Cartoche Doré and the Bücker Formation. There will also be planes from many aviation clubs across the country, many of which will fly from the Vélez Málaga airfield.

A novelty this year will be a static display of a MCDonell Douglas F-4RF Phantom, allowing visitors to get a good close up view of this veteran aircraft.

Protección Civil will have 35 volunteers on duty to make sure that the event reaches a conclusion safely. There will also be two ambulances and an emergency field hospital.

Right, so that’s Sunday the 26th starting at 11.00h on Playa Granada, lasting until 15.00h!
