Salobreña Town Hall has organised the I Concurso Fotográfico Visiones de La Caleta-La Guardia for next month. The idea is to promote the “panoramic beauty” of this satellite village.

The competition rules stipulate that any adult resident in Andalucia can submit up to three photographs, which must be originals and cannot have been used in any other previous competition. The photos cannot be modified (photoshopped). Anything considered distasteful, for whatever reason, will be disqualified.

All photos entered will be stored in the town-hall archives and can be used whenever the Town Hall wishes without the need to obtain consent from the photo authors.

All works must be entered between the 1st and 30th of June either at the La Caleta Casa de la Cultura or the main Salobreña one.

All photos chosen by the panel of judges will be put on display at the Casa de la Cultura in La Caleta during the Fiestas de la Virgen del Carmen, from the 8th to the 18th of July.

The final decision of the panel will be made known on the 14th of July and their decision is final.

The first three prizes will be products donated by different businesses, the First Prize being a camera donated by Worten in Motril, a dinner for two at Restaurante La Traviesa and a paraglider flight (tandem with instructor) donated by Parapente Draco.

The Second Prize is a watch donated by Joyería Sánchez in Salobreña and a paella for four at the Restaurante Rufino in La Guardia.

Finally, the Third Prize will be a canvas (60 x 80) to receive a photo of the winner’s choice, donated by Fotoprix, as well as a dinner for five at Restaurante La Guardia.
