The Parque Majuelo is all set to be invaded by a horde of vicious, lace-making, elderly ladies because its the XIII Encuentro de Bolillos Almuñécar 2016

Yes, this Saturday the 7th of May there will be a gathering of industrious lace makers, hailing from Murcia, Almería, Jaén, Málaga, Granada and even Huelva.

The event kicks off at 13.00h and will run until 15.30h – that’s not long but they will be able to get off a few metres of lace between them, surely.

Anyway, a great opportunity to see how it is done with around 200 ladies, and the odd gent, giving demonstrations on how this timeless handicraft is done.
