While waiting to build their Hospice on the land given to them by the Motríl Town Hall, the association opened a mini centre in Lanjaron.
The new centre houses a second hand shop, an office and a treatment room for massage, reflexology, reiki etc. All treatments are free for patients living in the Granada Province who are suffering from life-threatening illnesses.
The building has been donated to the association on a rent-free basis by Fernando Gallegos, musician with the group Los Gin Tonic, who support Acompalia as their chosen charity.
The Lanjarón Town Hall carried out the refurbishing works and continue to support Acompalia; the Mayor, Eric Escobedo Jiménez, opened the centre.
Normal hours are Tuesday and Friday mornings from 10.30 until 2pm. For more information contact firstname.lastname@example.org or have a look at the sites on Facebook Acompalia and www.acompalia.org.
