The Mayor of Motril is in Madrid at the international tourist fair, Fitur, busily plugging the XI Festival Aéreo de Motril set for June the 26th. Good move; 50,000 spectators can’t all be wrong.
The Chairman of the Asociación Aeronáutica Orión, José Miguel Pérez Juárez, accompanied the Mayor, together with female aerobatics pilot, Ainhoa Sánchez.
The Motril Air Display is the only such event in Andalucia and one of the most important in Spain.
The air display was born only eleven years ago with a humble display of helicopters, yet this summer past saw the official poster with English, French and Turkish texts, thanks to all the international participants involved.
Editorial comment: Motril has every reason to be proud of this yearly event and the Mayor is spot on promoting it in one of the world’s most important international tourist fairs, Fitur 2016.
