A 30-year-old local man from Almuñécar was arrested by the municipal police, accused of committing domestic violence.
The alleged victim had a court order placed against him, which had expired, however, on the 11th of December.
He did have, surprisingly, another court order issued against him, preventing him from approaching a different woman, which is still in force, according to the Guardia Civil.
The arrest took place quite close to the Almuñécar police station shortly after the victim had come in to report her alleged aggressor. She had injuries to her neck and forehead, which she said had been inflicted by the man’s crutch (i.e., a walking aid… stop your tittering)
She asked whether the station’s CCTV cameras cover the vehicles parked in front of the building as the attack had been carried out there the day before (Christmas day) and that on the day that she was making the report (Boxing day) he had also attacked her again in the same place as she was going in to report him, she claimed.
When they asked her for his whereabouts, she replied that he was sitting outside the main door of the police station on a public bench – they quickly went outside and arrested him.
Afterwards the municipal police wanted to take her to the medical centre, but she insisted that she would go there by her own means and would afterwards place a complaint against him before the Guardia Civil. So the municipal police transferred the prisoner to the Guardia Civil post.
