La Herradura held its III Certamen de Pesca Infantil and Héctor Sánchez de la Monja and Marta López Gracia won their ‘peques’ category.

All told, 46 kids took part from 10 to 14 years old in this third year that the competition has been running.

Héctor Sánchez’s catch weighed in at 1,056 grams, followed by Miriam González Martos with a catch of 956 grams, Francisco Padial Martin with 622 grams; he also had the largest single catch with a fish of 301 grams.

The event had been organized by the Club de Pesca Costa Tropical de Almuñécar and sponsored by Broncesva, DPesca and Pescamar.

The competition, which was of the type Surfs Casting Fondo, lasted from 10.00h to 12.00h Prizes where handed over in Restaurante Almanza.
