The recent rainfall on the 29th/30th had the Motril firemen out and about, tackling flooding, especially between 21.30h and Midnight.
A total of 12.6 litres of rain per square metre fell during the night. Some people find the litres per sq/m confusing but it is simply equivalent to 12.6mm per sq/m – that’s more or less six inches to the Brits for example.
Anyway, back to the plot: the firemen were called out seven times to respond to flooding in the township of Motril. On top of that there was also a call out concerning a burning car and a fallen electricity cable.
They were also keeping a good eye on the Rambla de las Brujas, which, at one point, was just 40cm from bursting its banks.
