The Spokesman for the left-wing IU party in Motril has denounced alleged racist conduct in some of the town’s chiringuitos.

According to the said politician, Francis Torcuato, certain chiringuitos-cum-nightbars will not allow gypsies or people that look like gypsies to enter their establishments.

It doesn’t matter how they dress, says Sr. Torcuato, these establishments won’t let them in, citing their right to deny access to anybody without having to offer reasons.

The IU Spokesman said that his party would not tolerate such conduct and would be vigilant to prevent this reported discrimination, being ready to file a complaint before the local police force.

He also urges anybody that feels that they have been discriminated against in the fashion to denounce the fact before the police themselves.
