A 79-year-old man died shortly after being pulled out of the water with breathing difficulties on a beach in Motril yesterday.

The incident occurred around 16.45h on Playa Poniente. The deceased is believed to be a Spaniard who was spending his holidays in Motril.

All indications are that he had suffered a heart attack, but little information is, as yet, known.
