Tomorrow, Sunday the 21st will see the annual brass-band festival begin, featuring school bands from Scandinavian countries.
This year Almuñécar welcomes Hallingby Skolopors, Asvang Eberg Skolepors, together with the Banda de Música Municipal de Almuñécar.
The first concert will be in the town-hall square, starting at 20.30h and then on Tuesday the 23rd they will provide a musical parade starting at 11.00h and ending in the Majuelo Park.
But it won’t be all over because on Thursday the 25th, they will be giving another concert in the town-hall square but this time the Scandinavian bands will be the Hana Skolepors, Grinbakken Skoles Mussikkorps and the Norden Nesodden.
These same bands will carry out another musical parade on Friday the 26th from 11.00h, all through the town centre, ending in the Majuelo again.
The last day of the event will be on the following Sunday the 28th with a performance from the Scandiavian band Borgen Skolepors, in garden of the Palacete de La Najarra – that’s the main tourist information office, by the way.
We haven’t got a time for that last performance, but the tourist information office will surely be able to tell you.
