The national energy company, Repsol, has lodged an appeal with the Supreme Court against the Government’s decision to lower the price of butane.

The Ministry of Industry has introduced a new system for the revision of butano bottles, which Repsol argues does not adequately take into account its production costs.

This new system has been responsible for a 19% drop in bombona prices since March.

The last price drop was on the 20th of May when it went down by 10.6% to 14.12 euros per normal domestic gas bottle of butane.
