The Motril Feria del Oeste will be held this weekend in the area known as El Paseo de la Explanda Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th.
Bank robberies and shoot outs? Yup! There will be TV and film stuntmen specialised in Westerns. There will also be a line of Can-Can dancing girls… can’t be all bad, can it?
The Councillor for Fiestas, Alfredo Ortega Tovar, explained that there will be plenty of games and activities for kids.
The Fair was actually inaugurated today, Friday, at 17.30 opening the carousel and market stalls to the general public. The evening will finish with a “bank hold up” put on by the aforementioned stuntmen.
Things kick off tomorrow at 11.00h with the opening of the market stalls, kiddies corner and the carousel (merry-go-round), as well as the workshops for kids.
Around midday there will be the Can-Can girls will kick out their routine entitled Cachondeo en el Salón. (Fun in the Saloon). Then at 13.45h there will be a mini show entitled, El Regreso de Jessie James.
Then at 18.00 the kids will be able to enjoy a face-painting workshop… to the horror of their parents. 19.30h there will be a horseshoe pitching competition and at 20.00h there will be a street parade.
There will be a full day of activities on Sunday, starting at 11.00h and finishing at 21.00h with a show called, Final Duel between the Dancing Girls and Gunslingers.”
Sounds like it’s going to be fun!
