Reports from Changsha in China say that a rather naughty Chinese man who was seeing 17 different girlfriends was found out when they all arrived to visit him in hospital.

The scant reports give the man’s name as Yuan, who, after a very good run of luck, had a car accident which left him with minor injuries, but serious enough to put him in hospital. Being a little out-of-sorts at the hospital, the staff contacted what they thought were a few local family members… and that’s when things went wrong for Yuan.

The 17 people who arrived to visit the stricken Romeo turned out to be his girlfriends, all of whom were blissfully unaware that any of the others existed.

One girlfriend called Xiao Li explained that on her arrival she started to chat with the other women and realized that many of them had been giving him money during their relationships. According to Ms. Li, one of them had said that she had been supporting Yuan for over nine years!

Things got even worse for our luckless Casonova when it was also discovered that he had falsified his education history to land a job with a big company…which has also earned him some rather juicy fraud charges.

Moral of the story? If you’ve got 17 girlfriends and quite a few secrets… drive carefully!
