Old Town La Herradura Works

LHR Cuesta Peralta OnLPlenty of streets up in La Herradura old town in the coming months, announced the First Councillor for the village, Sr. Ruiz Joya.

Again, the reason is sorting out the underground infrastructure: water mains, rain drainage and sewage system. When it’s finished “in some months,” the streets will be paved with those square cobblestones.

Councillor Ruiz Joya explained that the work would begin immediately after Semana Santa and that the old pipes are over 50 years old and completely obsolete, both because of their narrow diameter and because of the materials used.

So, which streets are we talking about? According to the Councillor, they are Calles San Ramón, Blanquita, Cuesta Peralta, Canalejas and España, in the first phase, having a budget of 530.437 euros.

The said first phase is planned to last five months. So, there you go – have fun!
