Well just when you thought you were doomed to a destiny of cervezas y espetos, along comes Martin Barratt and the excellent team at Hotel Miba to prove you wrong.
Located on the N-340 between La Caleta de Salobreña and Salobreña town, Hotel Miba is a delight on all the senses, as we have discovered.
I first met Martin about five years ago, when Hotel Miba was a mere dream. What appears now is a real testimony to his vision and ambition, coupled with the efforts of an extremely hard-working team.
Apart from the striking decor of the restaurant at Hotel Miba, what immediately hits you is the unique up-close-and-personal view of Salobreña’s signature rock. And as if the surroundings and setting alone aren’t enough to make this venue outstanding, all you need to do is take one look at the menu to know you’re in for a culinary treat.
Whether you fancy some rabbit, have a hankering for pork, or feel it really would be rude not to try out the local seafood and fish delights, the first thing you’ll notice is how original the dishes are, with some intriguing combinations of local produce, including chirimoya and mango.
Of course a meal just wouldn’t be complete without the tantalising delights of dessert; especially the superb chocolate and fruit dishes on offer.
Whether you’re planning a romantic meal or a special celebration, the restaurant at Hotel Miba will not fail to surprise and satisfy.
Open every day, except Sunday night and Monday, you can phone to make a reservation on 958 617 228.
