Ten PM Rumble

ALM Earth Tremor OnLYes, there was an earth tremor last night and no it wasn’t the rumble of distant thunder.

The earth tremor, measuring 2.4 on the Richter scale, was felt at the western end of the Costa Tropical at 20.05h, to be precise, with its epicentre below dear old Lentejí.

This seismic movement was felt down on the coast in Almuñécar and probably completely missed in La Herradura, where the fairground was rumbling away at that time.

The last time that Lentejí enjoyed some rock and roll was on the 1st of January 1973 when a touch of deep-earth belly ache knocked up a 4.0 seismic shock. Apart from a goat that laid an egg, local consternation was mildly expressed at the time.
