Toddler on a Quad

AND Toddler on Quad OnLThe Málaga Policia Local were surprised, to say the least, when they came across a 4-year-old boy riding an adult-size quad. Upon seeing the police, the budding Evel Knievel ran off.

The boy was riding the quad along the pedestrian pavement in the square in the Palmilla area of the city.

It all started when the local police received several complaints from passersby that youngsters were riding quads through the Plaza de la Biznaga. When they got there is was to find the above mentioned offender.

More interested in the 110cc vehicle rather than the rapidly disappearing, diminutive rider, they approached the quad, to be joined shortly afterwards by a women who admitted to being the owner. She assured them that she was totally unaware that her son – the 4-year old – was “using it.”

They asked for its documents and she replied that she didn’t have any and that she had acquired it in an industrial estate.

They decided to impound the quad, as it lacked all legal documents – and probably because the mother lacked common sense. They also submitted a report to the Minors Magistrate for Málaga. The report included a list of insults proffered by the quad-deprived mother.

But this toddlers on quads ‘thing’ is not new to that area of Málaga because in October last year the police stopped a 5-year girl who could hardly reach the controls. The father came up to the policemen and asked them what the problem was. They pointed out the obvious and he admitted that she had wanted to ride it and wouldn’t stop crying, so he let her.

This quad was gloriously unhindered by legal paperwork, as well, and unsurprisingly impounded.
