A kite surfer bravely went to the rescue of a fellow surfer who was in difficulty. However, in the end it was him that had to be rescued.

With gales still blowing since the weekend, the waves have attracted windsurfers and kite surfers by the dozen all along the coast, but these surf enthusiasts seem always close to disaster and yesterday the 3rd nearly was a disaster for these two kite surfers.

When the would be rescuer reached his colleague in distress he manage to lose his own kite and was soon being blown out to sea.

Ironically, whilst the first victim managed to make it back to the beach himself, the ‘rescuer’ was driven further and further out and if it were not for the maritime rescue ship, he may well have perished.
