A father and his son are being investigated and charged for their alleged part in a hit-&-run incident involving a mother and her daughter on a zebra crossing. The incident occurred in Burguillos (Sevilla) on New Year’s Eve.
The 40-year-old mother has multiple injuries and her condition is described as serious but the 14-year-old daughter only suffered minor injuries.
The car was identified by the brother, also present at the time of the accident but not involved, and the Guardia Civil went around to the suspect’s house. The son, who had been driving the car, was given a breathalyzer and found that he was still, hours after the incident, over the limit.
The father was also charged for the same crimes (Highway Code infringement and abandoning the scene of an accident without providing aid), as the car belongs to him, not his son, and the father had been attempting to cover up the crime.
