Salobreña is the first town on the Costa Tropical to have its chiringuitos fully legalized and in order.

The Mayor, Gonzalo Fernández Pulido, made public today that they had received the all-necessary Resolución de la Junta de Andalucía, giving the seven chiringuitos permission for occupying and trading along Playa de la Charca (the main beach).

The lucky seven are: El Campano, La charca, Flores, Casa Emilio, Tres hermanos, El Molino and Mc Pepe’s.

Probably Salobreña’s most emblematic chiringuito, El Peñon, wasn’t included because of its unique location (it’s not really on the beach). However, its particular permit is in the pipeline and no hiccups are expected.
